Adobe Announces 2 New Versions of Photoshop: Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended.
Adobe announced that the company will be releasing two different versions of Photoshop this year: Photoshop CS3, and Photoshop CS3 Extended.
Photoshop CS3 will be the standard version of Photoshop (now out in Beta) that will launch with the next version of the popular Creative Suite. Adobe will be unveiling the new products at a special event on March 27th. Photoshop CS3 is apparently targeted to video and multimedia professionals, as well as other industries who might take advantage of the 3d rendering capabilities. According to the company website…
“Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended delivers everything in Photoshop CS3 and more. Render and incorporate 3D images into your 2D composites. Stop time with easy editing of motion graphics on video layers. And probe your images with measurement, analysis, and visualization tools.”
No pricing or availability information is available at the moment, but Adobe plans to release that information at the formal announcement on the 27th. Adobe has posted a page detailing the differences between the two versions.
