‘General Lee’ Charger Sells for Almost 10 Million on Ebay
Posted on May 5, 2007
John Schneider, a.k.a. Bo Duke, sold his personal 1969 “General Lee” Dodge Charger used in the cult classic show “The Dukes of Hazzard” and various other productions at the price of almost 10 million dollars. The actual winning bid was on ebay motors $9,900,500.00. You know Boss Hogg would want a cut of that kind of money.
According to this CNN story, if the winning bid goes through, the “General Lee” will be the second most expensive car ever auctioned behind a rare 1931 Bugatti Type 41 Royal Sports Coupe that was sold by Christie’s Auction House back in 1987 for $11 million.

It just seems wrong that the door still opens. I thought Bo and Luke had them welded shut for the fictional version of Busch-league racing.
