John Schneider, a.k.a. Bo Duke, sold his personal 1969 “General Lee” Dodge Charger used in the cult classic show “The Dukes of Hazzard” and various other productions at the price of almost 10 million dollars. The actual winning bid was on ebay motors $9,900,500.00. You know Boss Hogg would want a cut of that kind of money.
According to this CNN story, if the winning bid goes through, the “General Lee” will be the second most expensive car ever auctioned behind a rare 1931 Bugatti Type 41 Royal Sports Coupe that was sold by Christie’s Auction House back in 1987 for $11 million.

Okay, you were proud of yourself when you learned how to make an origami swan weren’t you. Come on. You know you squinted at it and envisioned it floating on a serene pond somewhere. You spent all that time staring at the tutorial, so carefully folding and creasing to make it happen. Guess what… You’ve been one-upped by some students at M.I.T.. This is some really complex stuff.
This isn’t the origami you’re used to seeing and I doubt you’ll find too many tutorials out there on how to do these. A little paper, some math, and a whole lot of patience and look what you can achieve.

A lot of “designers” seem to overlook type as a true design element. It’s relegated to just blocks of boring copy when it could shine ever so brightly. What a shame. I’ve become increasingly enamored with type-based designs and the powerful images they can create. I know Matt has a passion for type as well so he’ll probably enjoy this. Typo Generator will get your juices flowing. Just type in some text, press the button and see what kind of interesting artwork you can come up with. Not happy with the first version? Make a few tweaks and go at it again. I guarantee you’ll end up with something you’ll like. Go ahead. Go be inspired by type. You know you want to.

A book of “little fluffy rabbits who just don’t want to live anymore” is right up my alley. It’s not that I dislike bunnies, but it’s hillarious how many different ways these guys can find to end it all. Don’t hate me. Just go to the site and laugh along. No REAL bunnies were harmed in the making of this post by the way.

I ran across this video I hadn’t seen in a while and almost died laughing last night. Grocery Store Wars is the bomb. It pits our organic food heros Cuc Skywalker, Obi-Wan Canoli, Princess Lettuce, Ham Solo, Chewbroccoli and their ship the Milennium Scallion against the Evil pesticide and preservative-laced empire headed by the nefarious Darth Tater. The action is intense. This is a serious must-see for all the Star Wars fans out there. It’s been around since 2005, but it’s worth watching again if you’ve already seen it. “May the Farm be with you.”
