In anticipation for the release of the movie 300 I went to the official movie site thinking I might download a wallpaper for my desktop. While they were all ok, I was really disappointed as nothing looked that great to me. I decided to put a few elements together and create my own. These are actually an updated set thanks to some of the feedback I received. As I promised yesterday, some new versions have been included below. I started out with just a couple, but since the downloads were racking up so quickly, I added a few more choices. I hope you enjoy them.

In conjunction with another post a few weeks back, I decided to add a few points to clarify some of the problems I have in general with recieving web content in Word files. It’s not that I debate the usefuleness of word processing programs in general, it’s just that Word file attachments in particular are rapidly becoming more and more popular among users to transport documents, most of whom do not realize the problems they can cause.

What is success? To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; that is to have succeeded.

- #As the ubiquitous (and crappy) IE browser begins to wane in popularity, it's increasingly more important for developers to focus on cross-browser development. "Works on my machine" just isn't a suitable answer anymore folks.
- #Wow. I'm amazed at the "process" the SDSU logo designers had to endure and just how little they were paid to deal with it. A designer's nightmare for sure.

- #I don't know what the point is or why I even found it noteworthy... maybe it's all the hoopla around the cheese carving or maybe it's just the dork that's carving it up. Is it art? I guess. Either way, it was an interesting way to kill a couple of minutes. Watch the video.
- #Sadly, Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch passed away this week. If you haven't already watched his "Last Lecture" you're missing out. I would definitely recommend taking the time out to watch the video or maybe buy the book. It's great stuff.
