Inquisitor, the popular Safari search tool is now available for Firefox. Nice. There’s also an IE beta available if you’re still stuck on Internet Explorer for some reason.

As a designer, I’m always looking for something more fresh and expressive for my desktop wallpaper. These fit the bill nicely. Take a look, I’m sure you’ll dig at least a few of them.

Because there are so many people freelancing now, you have to to the extra mile to impress potential clients. Part of that process is education: Just because your cousin’s kid has a copy of FrontPage and a cracked copy of Photoshop, that does not make him a web designer, any more than having a set of cutlery makes you a surgeon. Design is a skill that is a combination of innate ability and learned processes that are honed and refined over time. If your potential client goes with his cousin’s kid and pays $50 for a site, he’s going to get a $50 site. It’s like using a brick to tackle a toothache. It might work, but it ain’t pretty.

- #As the ubiquitous (and crappy) IE browser begins to wane in popularity, it's increasingly more important for developers to focus on cross-browser development. "Works on my machine" just isn't a suitable answer anymore folks.
- #Wow. I'm amazed at the "process" the SDSU logo designers had to endure and just how little they were paid to deal with it. A designer's nightmare for sure.
