Been mugged, robbed, swindled or do you just feel the need to sketch a face? This handy flash face generator will fill the bill. You can even print a copy to show your friends or the local crime watch. I’m not sure what part of it kept me glued to the page for an hour.. probably that everyone I drew looked like some programmer I knew. Go draw a face and save having to hire that pesky police sketch artist.

I posted a while back about the great work that artist Neil Duerden had on his site. I’m still enthralled with all of the flowing organic shapes, the color and the moods his work creates. Swing by his site and see for yourself.. much goodness to be had. More photos after the jump.

I completely stumbled upon this great gathering of funky art and photography from artist Jeff Koons. I’m not sure what I like about it the most but am definitely a fan of the color, the odd subject matter and the overall vibe I get from his pieces. You should really check them out for yourself… especially if you’re a big monkey fan

I ran across this list of 9 Signs You Shouldn’t Hire THAT Web Guy today over at CSS Zone. I felt like it was worth re-posting over here. Those of us who really ARE web professionals know these folks all too well.
1. He Calls Himself a “Webmaster”
Any web guy that calls himself a “webmaster” probably isn’t a master of anything. The term “webmaster” has become a translation for the word “amateur.” The web has diversified into so many different realms that webmaster is no longer meaningful (was it ever though?)
2. He’s a FrontPage Expert
Any developer / designer with a degree knows that Microsoft FrontPage most definitely isn’t a professional tool. FrontPage will pass for Mom and Dad who want to create a website dedicated to their dogs, not someone who’s trying to do business. I’d argue that a solid Web Developer should work at code level.

Another good read by Mindy Wagner over at Web Designer Depot on mood boards for web projects..
- #As the ubiquitous (and crappy) IE browser begins to wane in popularity, it's increasingly more important for developers to focus on cross-browser development. "Works on my machine" just isn't a suitable answer anymore folks.
- #Wow. I'm amazed at the "process" the SDSU logo designers had to endure and just how little they were paid to deal with it. A designer's nightmare for sure.
- #I always wondered, but now I have confirmation that baking is gay.
- #Who knew the history of the "Honka Hoota" bike horn was so compelling? Those Australian synthetic material trees must have been a godsend...
- #I don't know what the point is or why I even found it noteworthy... maybe it's all the hoopla around the cheese carving or maybe it's just the dork that's carving it up. Is it art? I guess. Either way, it was an interesting way to kill a couple of minutes. Watch the video.
- #Sadly, Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch passed away this week. If you haven't already watched his "Last Lecture" you're missing out. I would definitely recommend taking the time out to watch the video or maybe buy the book. It's great stuff.
- #Who would have thought you could have so much mindless fun playing with a spider? I'm so easily entertained some days...
- #I've always been annoying, but a chance to make an easy $350 to be someones nemesis is just too hard to resist. Sign me up please..
- #Okay kiddies, turn on the way-back machine and lets go back to 1989 for a look at the original Photo-Shop version 0.87 icon.
